Lantern Pattern

Hi everyone! I know I'm not updating my blog for almost half year! My job is taking away almost half of my week! You know, one day out, one week hibernation lol. But now I'm trying to update at least once a month! So now, I'll be giving out a free lantern pattern! Since Lunar New Year is coming, here is you pattern







Hello! Something you should know before you continue, this pattern is made for personal use only. You may sell the finished products but don't forget to give me credit as the creator and artist of this lantern. Any distribute, selling, reproduce, or publishing this pattern in any form either online or offline are prohibited. Also do not translate to other language unless it is authorized by me. I hope you could respect my copyright and my hard work. Lastly, you may post a picture of your finished items on internet that MADE by yourself. Do not repost my pictures or photos. I really appreciate if you tag me on your post or using hashtag #gulalipelangi.


Level: beginner


Materials:

-Crochet hook 2.5mm

-Milk cotton yarn in red and golden yellow

-Tapestry needle

-Fiber fill or stuffing


Abbrevations (US Terms):

-SC: single crochet

-INC: increase

-DEC: decrease

-BLO: back loop only

-ST/STS: stitch/stitches


Lantern

Start with golden yellow

R1 6 SC in MR (6 sts)

R2 INC x 6 (12 sts)

R3 BLO, SC around (12 sts)

R4 SC around (12 sts)

Change to red

R5 BLO, INC x 6 (24 sts)

R6 (3 SC, INC) x 6 (30 sts)

R7-11 SC around (30 sts)

R12 (3 SC, DEC) x 6 (24 sts)

R13 (SC, DEC, SC) x 6 (18 sts)

Change to golden yellow

R14 BLO, (SC, DEC) x 6 (12 sts)

R15 SC around (12 sts)

R16 BLO, SC around (12 sts)

R17 DEC x 6 (6 sts)


Cut golden yellow thread and make a strand

Embroidery the lantern with golden yellow yarn


Ta-ra! Your Lantern is finished!
